The Funders

The Bureau acknowledges the funding sources that enable
us to continue to develop services, including:

Norfolk County Council,
Norwich City Council,
Broadland District Council, 
South Norfolk District Council, 
West Norfolk Borough Council.

Three year agreements to provide grant aid for advice services for residents within the 
Council areas, together with special projects.

Legal Services Commission

Contract to deliver face to face welfare benefit and debt casework as part of 
Community Legal Services (CLS) 

Wherry Housing Association, Guinness Trust, Victory Housing Trust, 
Saffron Housing Trust 

Annual service level agreements to provide debt casework services for tenants facing 
rent arrears

Peddars Way Housing Association
Contribution to Debtline service, for the benefit of the Housing Associations tenants

Citizens Advice - Financial Inclusion Fund, Additional Hours of Advice 
The Financial Inclusion Fund and Additional Hours of Advice Projects are provided by 
the Department for Innovation and Skills (BIS) via Citizens Advice, the former for face 
to face debt casework and the latter for increasing hours of advice during the recession.

RAF Marham

Annual agreement to provide grant aid, funded by the RAF Benevolent Fund, for an 
advice service for service personnel at RAF Marham 

Big Lottery Fund

Three year grant agreement to provide a rural telephone and outreach service for 
residents of the West Norfolk area

Shelter

Service Level Agreement to provide a court desk advice and advocacy service, 
at Kings Lynn county court, for defendants facing proceedings for home 
repossession or eviction. 

NELM 

An Annual Service Level Agreement to provide a generalist advice service for 
residents of the NELM (North Earlham Lakenham and Marlpit) area in Norwich 

Other funding sources
 
One off donations and sponsorships are sometimes received from local 
businesses, local Trusts, Parish Councils and the public as part of general 
appeals. The Friends of Norwich & West Norfolk Citizens Advice Bureau make

Some income is also generated under our Minerva banner from the provision of 
training and coaching to community groups and staff of outside bodies such as
