Gateway Assessor    (Voluntary)                                          

Shifts: 1 Full day or 2 half days per week

To provide the initial stage of the advice process, the gateway interview. To gather information from clients, decide whether to provide information to enable clients to deal with their own enquiry, to signpost or refer the client to further services internally or externally, or to offer an appointment to the client for a full advice session. To carry out the above in an efficient and disciplined manner in order that necessary time restrictions and case recording requirements are met.
The requirements of case recording require trainees to be able to type reasonable quickly 
(not necessarily touch type), for this reason a typing exercise makes up
part of the interview.

Trustee  Board Member (Voluntary)

Shifts: 6 Trustee Board Meetings per annum (2 hours each)

  • 6 Sub-Committee Meetings per annum (2 hours each)
  • 1 AGM each year in September/October
  • 1 Training Day each year

The Trustee Board has overall management responsibility for the Bureau. Two Sub Committees
are in operation. Finance & Development and HR & Client Service's. Previous Board experiance
and/or a working background in HR, Finance or Marketing to a high level is essential. Applicants
must be able to attend early evening meetings and will also ideally be available for recruitment
panelspanels and Board training days.
